Packerfan
I have a few friends who wanted to get some items from the site but they get rejected when trying to log in even with a new freshly activated account on the site. He was able to log in for a two week span a long while ago. It always tells him his password is wrong even with a fresh acct. So here are my questions, A - Is there some location setting preventing this though they have been able to log in in the past (1 is in the UK I know that much). Or is your site for the entire world. B - Any ideas on the problems C - Anything against ftp-ing the files to him or similar, i realize this is up to the uploaders of the files, but he found everything he wants on the site he just can't get past the password barrier for download Thanks I just want to make sure I don't break any rules
buddah
We have users world wide, only a few with problems logging in or accessing the site. Before I can even look into things, I need to know their usernames at a minimum. Also which site are they having problems with, are they able to log into the forums? There is not way for anyone to police what happens off this site and it would not be of a concern., if they were shared via ftp. First let me know their usernames, via pm if you want or post them here and I will check the status of their accounts and ensure they have been validated. Packerfan
I pm-ed you the two accounts I am guessing that person has. (It is their same tag that they use on all sites, so I am assuming it is those two) I know they cannot log into the TES Nexus site. So no legalities with private sharing? buddah
We are handling this via pm's we will get this sorted out. If the file is availble here and you are sharing with friends who are having issues getting logged in, nothing is wrong. Hosting it elsewhere for public distribution is another matter entirely. But in this case there is no need for concern. Buddah
Packerfan
Ok, thanks, it is on an obscure server with a odd file name and no connection other than a PM for him to know it with no advertisement publicly.
buddah
Then all is good, I also have some of my archive on line as well, but with no search abilities so they are completely hidden. Somethings must not be lost, and these I keep there.
