Sackrelije
Can anyone help me??? I start Oblivion after installing both expansions ( I have Oblivion GOTY edition) and the second the load for the game starts, the game crashes and the error window pops up. I tried uninstalling all my mods and installing all the patches but nothing :wallbash: :wallbash: .. I updated my hardware and tried not using OBSE to load my game too. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: Please help me. I would really appreciate it :thanks: . dezdimona
ok, first list all your mods in there load ordersecond: if you have mods that require obse then the game has to be launched useing OBSEthird: if you did an un-install I hope you went and manually deleted the files the Oblivion unistaller leaves behind, because if you did not, when you reinstall you get huge problems! bben46
Disabling a mod either in OBMM or the data list does not actually remove everything from the data folder. UNLESS you use the OMOD format in OBMM to install your mods. You can try uninstalling and reinstalling. please use the procedure in the following link as the normal uninstall dosn't uninstall everything and these kind of problems are usually traced to a problem in the windows registry - which is not uninstalled. Link: http://s1.zetaboards.com/TheStormRavenLibr.../1446421/1/#new  Do not install SI until after you have started and made a save in Oblivion. Do not install any patches until after you have made a save in SI (GOTY Should not need patching) Do not install any mods until you have tested the game without any mods, and have made a clean backup of your data folder and .ini file. DO test after installing each new mod. If you start by installing a dozen mods which one caused the problem? :wallbash:

This may be a symptom of unsupported hardware. Has Oblivion ever worked on this computer? If it hasn't, what are the specs for your processor, Video card, sound card, memory and page file usage. If you don't know them, you can post a "Dxdiag" report: Run (XP) or Start (Vista), type in "dxdiag" (without the quotes), save the report to a desktop text file (default). Copy and paste the results (the whole thing) here in your thread.

The game ran perfectly until right after installing the expansions. I installed some mods that required the patch to run or the Shivering Isles. I was too lazy at the time so I installed the patch instead. Personally, I think the ptach interfered with Shivering Isles and messed the game up. This may be of some help After uninstalling the game, including registry entries, reinstall in this order: NON GOTY VERSION:1. Oblivion (non GOTY Version)2. The Shivering Isles (if you have it)3. Install the v1.2.0416 patch for your version of the game (If you only have Oblivion get the Oblivion version of the patch, if you have the Shivering Isles, get the Shivering Isles version of the patch)4. Unofficial Oblivion Patch5. Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch (If you installed Shivering Isles)6. Official DLC plugins (either Downloaded or The KOTN (Knights Of The Nine) disc.7. Unofficial Official Mods Patch GOTY VERSION1. Disc 1 (Oblivion)2. Disc 2 (Shivering Isles and KOTN) Updates Oblivion to current version, does NOT include any of the Official plug ins (DLC's)3. Unofficial Oblivion Patch4. Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch5. Official DLC's (If you have them)6. Unofficial Official Mods Patch I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you install the Unofficial Oblivion Patch, Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch (if you have the Shivering Isles) and the Unofficial Official Mods Patch (if you have any of the official DLC plugins). It is not advised to get the unofficial patches from other sources than PES or TESNexus since they may be outdated or modified. If you are using Vista Install to somewhere other than the default directory, ie. C:\games\bethesda Then run the game, without mods, and create a save. Then if everything works, add your mods, one or two at a time, and test.

Sackrelije
Thanks, I found the problem. One of my Deadly Reflex files got corrupted because of installing the expansion packs. The single esp file did all this to me. I just redownloaded Deadly Reflex to get the esp files up and working.
