TsukasuX
Hello, I am going to be starting a new game with FOOK, and I just re-installed Fallout 3, and I will be installing FOSE/FOMM, OA, Pitt, and BS. I have had ALOT of crashes with patch 1.5 in my previous game saves, like when I enter buildings I'll crash, and when I enter Megaton I crash every time. I read 1.5 sucks with mods, and such. What would I do so I can play the game with something similiar to 1.5, but not 1.5 itself. Would I update it to 1.4, then do the Unoffical Fallout Patch? Or, do I just use Unoffical Fallout Patch right AFTER I install the game? I plan on using FOOK, Weapon Mod Kits, Sprint, Slow-Time, Enhanced weather, and drivable motorcycle. Basically all the popular ones. I also DO want to play Broken Steel, and I know you need 1.5 to play Broken Steel. What should I do? Thanks in advance. Skree000
ok first of all you NEED fomm first before anything. Fomm will allow you to specify your loadout order. The order mods get loaded in is VERY important to stability. Secondly I think the process of patching to most recent these days (while still doing it safely) is to patch half way with a legit patch, then using the 'Fake patch' to get all the way to 1.5 features, without using the 1.5 patch theres full instructions over in the Bethsoft forums in an article called Fake Patch 1.5... one sec i think this is it http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=988596
jsnider193
Other point ... would recommend looking at the latest on FO3edit and it's master conversion capability. Discussion on bethsoft in the mod section on this, worth the read. Folks there have used it and reported it assisted with stopping crashes in 1.5, only relaying what read as have not used it myself.
