Post appears before it's been posted.

Well, when I reply to a thread there's a line above the post with three squares indicating that my post is being, well, posted. But the thing is, while that's being shown there, I'm reading the very same topic in a second tab which shows that exact same reply is already posted, while the three squares do the dance.

 

The reply itself claims to be loading and that lasts for some 20-25 seconds, but the post appears in the thread within 3 seconds after I click the "Post" button. Regardless of that, the three squares still dance for another ~20 seconds before the tab finally reloads the page.

 

It's been happening since the forums went down for maintenance, I just thought it's a slowdown due to traffic or something until I started reading things I haven't even posted yet. The forums are snappy to load so I don't think it's a bandwidth problem, it might be a glitch in the Matrix though.

 

By the way, I got no idea if the above makes any sense what so ever, so to simplify - I reply to a topic, the post claims it's being posted, but it's already there ~20s before it finishes.

 

EDIT: Whoa, format on this post went bonkers, better fix it.

I've been seeing this happen the last couple of days as well.

Yup, editing the post doesn't last as long, but actually posting it takes a while even though the post is already there. It becomes problematic when you post often, takes a while for each reply to load before you can continue onto the next thread.
