hhfwo1202
Hello everyone! I'm a musician, and I've also been playing Skyrim on and off since its initial release date. A decade later, I feel like I'm able to make some music for Skyrim SE, so I was wondering if anyone that plays Skyrim SE would be interested in having another soundtrack mod for the game. The plan for the mod is to create music for the game in a similar theme and "feel" as the vanilla music. I'll be creating music with similar instruments to those that are used in the vanilla soundtrack, as I have access to many similar instruments that were used. I also plan on including choir/vocal sections, that are sung in the Thu'um (Dragon) language, similar to the Skyrim main theme song "Dragonborn". The music that I will make is not intended to replace any of the vanilla soundtrack. Instead, I will be adding the music to the rotations that are used in various scenarios/locations - dungeon, combat, town, explore, tavern, etc. - with different versions depending on the time of day (day/night versions). So, both the music I am making, and the vanilla game music, may be played in the various scenarios/locations listed above (in addition to other music mods you may have). Lastly, I have a title for the mod that I've been considering, though I am open to suggestions for it. The title I came up with for it is "Heroes of Tamriel Soundtrack". If you have any suggestions for a different name, feel free to post it here, and I will most likely consider it. Also feel free to let me know what you think of the title I came up with, as that input will help as well. Feel free to leave any suggestions or feedback for me, and please let me know if this is something that you would be interested in seeing in the game! It will definitely take at least a few months until all of the music is completed and implemented into the game, but it's something I'm committed to, as it seems like a fun challenge for myself, and something I'm excited about. Thank you all for your time!
TenkatsuQ
I'am musician too. but Skyrim has alot of mods music replacers and additionals. Only one i want, make game's music system dynamic, to make music change patterns "if something happens". because vanilla music duck system is s#*!, look at, for xmpl, the witcher 3, where combat music ends on final accord and this transition from battle to end feels more impressive. And mybe whe can look at Mirror's Edge Catalyst, where every movement of player affects on background ambient or in fight accents. About vanilla music, its good, but very old, and vanilla music just doesn't fit 90 percent of the time, knocking you out of immersion.hell, even the music from the Witcher 3 suited Skyrim more, you just need to turn off all non-combat music. Music is already enough. We need a new system for playing and ending music. Where separate patterns will be used, and even separate sounds, which will have to work from triggers, but still recoil in an unbroken rhythm.
