SkyUI Groups & Custom Favorites Menu

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help this newb out:

 

I have SkyUI installed and I also have Custom Favorites Menu:

I'm attempting to setup SkyUI groups, but pressing "F" doesn't access the menu. I'm guessing I need to do something to the favoritesmenu.cfg file in Notepad to alter this, but I have no clue what or how. I can't seem to find a straight answer online or in the mod's comments page, and the mod owner isn't active. I do know lots of folks use the Custome Favorites Menu (or some variation thereof) and most folks have SkyUI.

 

Can anyone who uses both tell me how to configure this so that I can access and setup SkyUI groups without having to delete this menu mod?

 

(By contrast, if someone knows of an up to date video on who to do this, I'd take that with a smile. I'm happy to do the footwork if I knew where to look, but I'm just at a loss here.)

Highlight an item (ex: Merun's Razor) in your quick menu

 

press F

open one of the groups

click inside it

press E to add the item to the group

 

Is that where the confusion is? F is just a way to tell SkyUI that "this item is a candidate for inclusion into a group"

Thanks for the reply! No, the issue is that F doesn't do anything. Pressing F doesn't open up any groups. I think this is because Custom Favorites Menu is blocking it? I don't want to delete Custom Favorites Menu, but I have no idea how to configure it either. Someone on another forum said that one of the Custom Favorite Categories (like Consumables) would need to be removed and replaced? I just have no clue how to do this, so I'm hoping some who uses Custom Favorites Menu and SkyUI has found the workaround for this.
