Adit98 Posted December 7, 2013 Share Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) I have some problem with weapon texture, i have setting the texture before on 3dsmax7, i export it into morrowind(using niftool plugin for 3dsmax7), then i run TESCS for setting the weapons data and place it somewhere, then i going see it in the game, when i check it the texture just showing white color or no texture. i have put the model at Data Files/meshes/Spear.nif and the texture at Data Files/textures/Spear.tga, so the problem is the texture is exist but not showing in the game, when i try delete the texture and play the game get error cause cannot find "Spear.tga", anyone know whats wrong with this? Adit98 Posted December 10, 2013 Author Share Posted December 10, 2013 Upps, sorry i make some mistake, i have put the texture at Data Files/Textures/Spear.tga , the texture still not showing in the game, i have try re-import to 3dsmax and the texture is exist/showing and working fine, maybe there's something wrong with the shader? i use blinn shader for this model texture, btw thanks for your response Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
hollaajith Posted December 11, 2013 Share Posted December 11, 2013 I don't have experience with 3dsMax but I do know that when an object can't find the texture, the object shows as white like yours. Its related to Texture path in .nif file. Make sure texture path is "\Textures\Spear.tga" or "Spear.tga". I don't know how you change that in 3dsmax though. hollaajith Posted December 12, 2013 Share Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) I coudn't make the texture work too. Its problem with the texture. Try another texture and also make it bigger. Look at vanilla morrowind textures for weapons as a size comparision. P.S. To edit textures, I use Paint.net or you could try Gimp too.
