shreddah4
So I have duplicated some cells and made a quest but for one of the locations the quest marker does not point to the correct location and instead points to the area that holds the cell it was copied from. I know I can fix it by copying all the items in the cell and pasting them in a new cell but that requires me to navmesh the area and I would prefer not too do that. any ideas why this is happening. I'm guessing there must be another way to fix this because a second location that was copied does not seem to have this issue
LarannKiar
A quest marker can point to an Object Reference (Ref) that's either being filled into a Reference Alias (RefAlias) or can be found in a Reference Collection Alias (RefColl). Copying the Cell where the Ref is located doesn't "update" the quest marker. It'll still point to the same Ref. You need to go to Quest (which has the quest marker in question) >> Quest Aliases >> find the Alias with the old Ref, then change it to the new one. shreddah4
I've tried 2 different Alias so far and both are things not present in the original cell. just checked in fo4Edit and the Alias form IDs are only present in my created cell and not in the original locations. I guess I will just copy and paste everything in a new cell as that has seemed to work for me so far. luckily it is a pretty small location so doing the navmesh isn't much of a problem. cheers for the help though.
