How do I have an NPC wear these particular dresses

Hi!

Easy question for you!

I'd like to have some NPCs wear these particular dresses.

Sheer White dress

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5505

or

Chain Domina for Type3

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5554

This is what I've done and it isn't working. I open up GECk. I check on thier mod and load it up.

I go to inventory. I go to new, and sure enough..there is 11K2SheerWhiteDress. I set it up for them to wear it..

Geck warns me that it's missing five textures (but they are in my folder)...

When I load up the game, it doesn't work. The NPCs are not wearing it. Part of the problem is that this particular dress has about five different textures and two different meshes.

How do I go about doing this?

How do I go to GECK to make it reference more than one .dds file...in this case about four of them towards the mesh.

What I don't want to do is "force" the NPCs to wear the items through the Groovatron. I'd rather have it programed so that they wear them from the get-go.

Never tried to incorporate one object that has two separate meshes in the GECK. Is there any way to reference the meshes as different pieces of clothing? Do your NPCs show up wearing featureless meshes, or a big diamond shape with an exclamation point or nothing at all?

If you see featureless meshes (red?) you can try making a textureset for the meshes that references the corresponding .dds files. If you see <!> then you need to reference the mesh. If your NPCs are still in their undies then the game doesn't recognize your effort at all.

Heya Dracomies,

Sounds like when you added the armor to be used in your mod, the armor lost the paths to the Texture Sets. When you duplicate an armor this happens. You'll need to reset those paths.

Since I don't normally make sense the first time, here's an example:

Using the Sheer White Dress.

You've created your plugin and checked off K2Clothes_SheerWhite01.esp as a resource.

Head to your object window, select ALL and filter for 11K2. You should see the following:

11K2GOSet

11K2SheerWhiteBootsSet

11K2SheerWhiteDress

11K2SheerWhiteDressSet

11K2SheerWhiteHoseSet

11K2SheerWhiteSleevesSet

You'll want to create duplicates of each of these. I like to just put 'A' at the end. So 11K2GOSet becomes 11K2GOSetA, and so forth. But you can do whatever. You now have a unique version for your mod. But the texture set paths have been lost.

Open up 11K2SheerWhiteDressA (This will be the armor).

Look at the Female section; Edit the Biped Model.

Set the lines to use the Texture Sets.

Boots - 11K2SheerWhiteBootsSetA

Stockings - 11K2SheerWhiteHoseSetA

Sleeves - 11K2SheerWhiteSleevesSetA

Dress - 11K2SheerWhiteDressSetA

Leave the rest blank, hit OK.

now Edit the World Model

Box01:0 - 11K2GOSetA

Hit OK.

Hit OK again to save your changes to the armor.

The Sheer White Dress should now work properly. Equip 11K2SheerWhiteDressA to your NPC of choice.

The Chain Domina outfits would require similar tinkering.

Hope that helps.
