Guest Guest_Sinfull
I bought Morrowind about 7 months ago and loved it. Since my purchase I have also gotten the 2 add-ons; which I also love. But, I have been working on my own mod for about 2 months now.I am not a computer programmer, so I went out an bought 3 books for game script writting. They have helped alot and I suggest other non-programmers to do the same. However; I am at the climax of my mod and have hit a problem that non of those books talk about.......I need to change race and class mid game while transferring all stats, bonuses, and ablilities of the original player character to the new playable character that will also have its own bonuses and abilities. The script would have tobe a one time activation script as it will be linked to an item. I want it to be so that after the script occurs the player can equip or remove the item with out any ill affects (such as reverting back into the first form after un-equipping or having the script double itself upon re-equipping). I would give total credit for the script to the writter once I release it....Can Any One Help :P
thanateros
hmm intersting concept, i know that at any point in the game you can console and change your race...if you could script the weapon to bring up that menu it could be a nice alternative. or a shrine or spell that changes you, maybe the charges are on hte weapon itself. there are some things that you can't script into morrowind...still waiting for the game with the inifinity symbol as it's script...like that could ever happen. best way to get this to work is look at other parts of the game that can to some extent do what you want and see if you can work from there. maybe a summon spell that is constant effect and attaches to the characters' skin so that the only thing changed is the skin and since it's a spell it will leave the stats etc. alone. just a thought, i don't know much about scripting and am trying to learn it, but the best methods are to manipulate what already exists to suit your needs. Draconium
You could take the scripts from Jiub, the guard, and the census guy (all in seyda neen) and kinda put them all together and tweak it a bit
