Still nothing happening. I am sorry but I am getting a little pissed about this. I have been in here many times to try and get this fixed with no luck. I just downloaded the latest and (greatest) NMM hoping that it would, you know, clear any corrupt files lurking in an earlier NMM but it isn't happening.

If I remember correctly I downloaded a mod from the nexus and something went wrong with the NMM after that. I don't know if I touched a freaking key wrong or what but it hasn't worked since. and yes I do use the damn game download now because I have to. my NMM doesn't work. I WAS looking forward to NMM 50 but now I'm not so sure.

please just tell me how to remove this piece of crap from my computer without it messing up my game. As angry as I am I know that these things happen and it is no ones fault. I know that NMM is a good tool but I think that mine is broken. something about a message that tells me that is isn't working....

It happened right around 45.5 and didn't change for 45.6 7 or even 46.0 and I am guessing it won't change until I remove it and allow my computer to be cleared of what ever the issue was. I am still hopeful that I can use another NMM but I, at least, realize that something may be wrong with my version of your product.

I do not know what else you might need to understand this problem but I will help you with any information that I can get.

One last thing, it did work for a short time and as I said I down loaded something from YOUR SITE and that caused all of the problems that I have been having with YOUR product.

This is the NMM subforum for issues and problems you might want to check there first to see if these issues have been brought up before and if there isn't a solution or to post and let the NMM devs know so that they can work on resolving the problem: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/406-nexus-mod-manager-open-beta/

As for how to uninstall it, there should be a folder in your start menu for NMM with an uninstall option in there. Or you can uninstall it from window's add/remove program feature.

thanks. I know how to uninstall it what I am asking is what kind of damage will be done to my game and the mods if I take that action.

You will still have the same game when you uninstall the nexus mod manager. All the mods are still in your game file, and will work like they did before. However they won't be linked anymore, which means that they won't update so easily (you need to do that manually if you want to)

But the game will stay the way like it is now. So if you like it how it is. You can easily uninstall/remove the mod manager. And you can still change, add or remove a few mods by doing it manually.

ps: I'm pretty sure this is true, cause of my own experience. But I just wouldn't like it if I completly ruined your game. So for the tiny chance I'm totally wrong some conformation from others would be good.

another quick question, if I remove this NMM that is not working will I have to go to my reg and clear it out of there too?

I mean I still want to have another NMM and truly believe that I just got a bad file or something got dropped during the download. I would hate to delete it and find that I can't reload because the reg thinks it is still in there.

  • 1 month later...

I found out what was wrong. a mod had been corrupted during the download and was causing the NMM not to open because it was busy. I tried to delete all of the effected mod as I could find but couldn't find I all. I finally had to delete the NMM and reload. got it up and running and now everything is working just the way I like. thanks for all of the suggestions and support.
