Fantafaust
So an option for you sell the cure to them, that would be enough to make it fair? LolYou're literally extorting them with the threat of a child's death
DieFeM
Literally the same way they threat the sole survivor. Someone who is looking clues for a lost son can not enter unless pays for it.If it all is reduced to tradings, why not. Or you're supposed to be a kind soul. As a mod it makes sense for certain types of playthrough but it doesn't make sense if you want to be fair Lol
Fantafaust
If you're convincing enough you can enter the vault for free. There's no evidence whatsoever that your son could be there, has been there, or that anything in there could lead you to him.You can make excuses for it, but at the end of the day what excuse of yours is going to bring Priscilla's last remaining family, her grandson, back to life? "They should've paid me for it" "I caught the disease too, I needed it more than he needed to live" "I didn't see your people going down there to get it".EDIT: I am considering adding some more routes to the mission if the voiced lines are enough to work with. If possible I'll add options for recruiting a mercenary, and making another cure. In vanilla, Curie assumed while still in the old vault that it would be impossible to make another cure, but given the ingredients, all assumption is she could do it. I'll probably give Austin a time limit to be cured too, say a week, maybe.
DieFeM
You can make excuses for it Yeah. Whatever. If you want to take it like excuses, that's on you. I'm telling you my point of view. Don't need to be rude.
DieFeM
If you're convincing enough you can enter the vault for free. They need to convince me to give them the cure. Or that only works one way?
DieFeM
There's no evidence whatsoever that your son could be there, has been there, or that anything in there could lead you to him. There's no need of evidence. If you lose your son you'd search everywhere.
DieFeM
"They should've paid me for it" "I caught the disease too, I needed it more than he needed to live" "I didn't see your people going down there to get it" All of them valid responses, another thing is that you don't like them. It's called role play.
DieFeM
On the other hand, is there any kind of evidence that is going to be any cure in an abandoned vault full of molerats with diseases? no, but they send you there anyway. And the doc demands the cure, don't even ask for it politelly. The politeness comes afterwards, when you already give it without asking for anything in return, and risk your live. Fantafaust
I was going to write out responses to your individual posts just now but really all I need is the motivation of the player character: you are a parent, and a loving spouse clearly capable of emotion and presumably empathy, desperately in search of your baby boy yet apparently have no such empathy for a dying kid that by this point; you likely think is the same age as your own kid. The only argument those people should need, is that you have the ability to save this kid and would only face a mild inconvenience to do so.On the one hand, you can save the kid and get paid for it, but you take a slight debuff. get money+get new companion= good. Diseased= bad. Pros AND cons.On the other hand you indirectly murder a child, but you're cured of the disease and you face no actual consequences for any of that. No longer diseased+get new companion= good. Only Pros. Where is the con? where is the fairness, the balance? You clearly don't feel bad for letting an easily saved kid die, so you can't say that's a con, as you're not affected by it....The fairness will come from them kicking you out. If it makes you feel better about it they can refund you your 3 petty fusion cores while they mourn the loss of one of their own.EDIT: Idk why we're arguing this when you clearly won't use the mod since it'll conflict with your playstyle anyways. Everyone else agrees this is fair or at least reasonable, what's the point of further non-constructive discourse?
