Yingerman
I'm starting from the beginning of the TES series and, while playing Arena, I noticed how many riddles there were to open doors and such. I LOVED IT! It was so much fun to actually have to stop and think for a second. Conversely, on my brief playthrough of Skyrim, I found there to be very few puzzles or riddles, and those that were there lacked complexity. I would love to see a mod that adds challenging puzzles and riddles to the dungeons in the game, or changes puzzles that are already present to ones that are real brain-ticklers. I've only made one mod before, and it was for FNV. I'm inexperienced to making mods for Skyrim, but I'd love to help in whatever way I can! I'll leave you with one of my favorite riddles from TES Arena: From the beginning of eternity,To the end of time and space,To the beginning of every end,And the end of every place... Bionoodles
The puzzles in Skyrim do need to be kicked up a few notches. "Match these symbols with the ones on the wall" is not a riddle. That's a long-ass hassle and I'd rather it be disabled entirely than be insulted with that. Eugh. Sorry cheap puzzles make me mad
Yingerman
I'm trying to think of how this could be put in the game, but the problem with riddles is that you'd need an interface that allows you to type answers. That would be tough I'm sure. Puzzles, however, wouldn't be too tough. Edited December 9, 2013 by Yingerman

That would be tough I'm sure. Puzzles, however, wouldn't be too tough. Multiple choice system could work. We really need a puzzle dungeon overhaul. Instead of "match the symbols" there needs to be riddles engraved on stone tablets, or challenges like parkouring over spikes while balancing on thin stone.
