cmdrsausage
Hey people, Firstly let me add a disclaimer, I am very new to moding and the like and as such could anyone that does help use small words etc etc Also if i shouldn't have placed this here no banhammer k? Now I have started simple and just altered the Pipboy 3000 texture and was hoping to alter the player characters pipboy but everytime i add it to the textures folder every single Pipboy in the game (i.e. 'Dads', the Overseer, etc etc) is altered as well. Now I was wondering if ther eis any way which this can be altered as in the geck the .nif files for the NPC pipboy and PC pipboy are different but I'm not sure how to impliment my idea... I mean I look cool with a Nuka cola Pipboy but the Overseer?! :verymad: any help anybody could render would be hugely appreciated Commander Sausage
BadPenney
I see two PipBoy ID listings in the *All section of the Object Window of the GECK: PipBoy and PipBoyNPC. You could try creating a textureset that points to your retextured PipBoy .dds files and apply it only to the PipBoy object, while leaving PipBoyNPC with default textures. BTW, I see that there are different NIFs listed for the Male Biped Model in PipBoy and PipBoyNPC, but the Female Biped Model appears to point to the same NIF in both. You may need to extract the NIFs from the FO3 mesh.bsa ( Fallout Mod Manager's BSA Unpacker is handy for that ), rename them and place them in a custom directory and make the PipBoy object point to them to get the unique separation that you want.
