MatthewTaylor1981
So one day i got this game oblivionit was awesome.I was happy. Then, something happened... i located throttle kitty's rapier's mod, and the whole world came crashing down Until that point I was perfectly happy playing my battlemage clad in romanesque platemail, but when i saw those beautiful rapiers, i had to make a bard. The only problem is, that while oblivion's stock lategame heavy armor looks somewhat awesome, Glass armor makes you look like Tron. So i set about looking for something mildly specific: some swashbuckler looking armor that is glass-equivilent And I found some.. lots of it, only problem is, it seems to be all female only, and well, I've always made characters my own gender. So, after digging and digging, i found some pirate clothes, but that was the closest I got. I did find a "swashbuckler's set" but it was really dark and just looked really heavy. So onto something that would satisfy me greatly:Glass-equivilent unenchanted armor wearable by male PCs, preferably not requiring the download of any special body mods.I would like for it to have a "bardlike" appearance, that is, something that could arguably be end-game light armor from apperance, but has a more happy-go-lucky feel than a Tron, Evil demon, or assasin feel. Some ideas that cross my mind. Chest:Highwayman's Shirt with a mithril breastplate..ORVictorian style leather jacket overtop a mithril mail mesh shirtor something along those lines.(if a breastplate is used, i want to stress that its a LIGHT breastplate. Something articulated or only covers the ribcage, so its feesibly light armor.. example of a light breastplate: http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/gw/image..._gray_front.jpg ) Gauntlets: Ornate, fancy gauntlets with mithril studs along the knuckles and bulk of handor something along those lines Greaves: Mithril mail mesh, possibly with mithril plate shingaurdsor something along those lines Boots:Leather boots with mithril plate studsor something along those lines Helm: Mithril helm's a good starting point. something that looks more imposing. alternativley, a leather buckle-hat with a high armor rating, so long as the hat looks like an artifact and/or heavilly enchantedor something along those lines (see a pattern? :P While i have a few specific ideas, i'm not terribly picky, im just trying to set the mood for the type of look i'm describing. High-level swashbuckler hero with a 100 personality score ;) ) Shield: A targe, buckler, or round shield that is notably fancy. Ive seen a few "parrying dagger" mods out there, but oblivion just seems to look more attractive sword-and-board style. What would be great would be a late middle ages buckler design, souped up for being high level. maybe its plated in mithirl or glass? the key point here is its a small, target buckler, along the lines of "shadow targe" but not quite so "im an evil assasin out to drink your blood" :P anyway, i wont freak out if no one makes this, just thought id take a chance and see. One thing I would really dig that might not be so demanding: there's a vampire hunter outfit that's female-only from all apperances. If that could be modified to fit on a male without showing a middriff, it would be great. thanks for reading! http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/FR_ART/P...hCraulnober.jpg Picture of the look i'm trying to get. MatthewTaylor1981
yeah i cited that in my first post. I know what you are talking about, but it dosent really do it for me. Dosen't look like armor at all.No offense to the mod creator, but id like it to at least arguably offer protection ;) while there is male light armor out there, its not really "Bard" if you catch my meaning. Ranger outfits aren't very "bard" pirate outfits could be, but the one i saw was just a hair too jack sparrow for my tastes.

I've tried a few times to find bard type stuff, and I haven't found much.
