CyniclyPink
I'm an artist and horse lover and have been waiting for a decent remake of the Skyrim horses to come out. The heads are so bad I cringe. Sorry if I offend anyone but there are none out that "cut It" for me. I just want to make the vanilla horses look a bit better to start with then maybe remake some from scratch. Where would I start to learn how? All the info I've found on Nifskope is from 2011 and not even sure if thats what I need. Do I just need to view tutorials on the CK? Any help would be hugely appreciated :)
AurianaValoria1
If you're talking about totally remodeling the horses and not just retexturing or minor deleting/adding parts in NifSkope, you'll need a full-fledged 3D modeling program like Blender or 3DSMax. These programs are what you would use to model them from scratch (and you'll spend a lot of your time just learning how to use them if you're not used to it; I would say modeling from scratch is definitely on the advanced modding side of things). Then you'll have to learn how to export these meshes to get them ready for gameplay, texture them, etc... CK work will be the last thing you do, if at all.
