First off I am going to replace all the current books, with the ability to be read. Then I will be adding a few really rare books. Why am I telling you?==============Well I need some stories for the books! I am asking for people to tell of their tales out in the wastes, or make something up. Basically I just want to have a large variety of stories related to Fallout and the wastes. Story content=========You'll need a story title. Try to keep the story not too long. If you would like to go over this, I can try and make your story multiple pages, or squeeze it in. Also if you have a specific location you would like your story to go let me know and I will make it a rare book. The Mod======For the first release I need at least 9 stories. One will be chosen as the Pre-War Book story. the other 8 will be the books you see laying around everywhere. eventually I may go through and mix it up some more and change it so that there are a few more varieties of story to be shown. Locations======Need some more ideas for places? Here are the current places and places I plan to put some in. If you need to know where they are try the MoreMapMarkers mod by Xyx0r. If you want to claim one before you start writing it, just post here and let others know. FAIL?====In the event of nobody supplying stories or just not getting enough, I may have to resort to, *GASP*, browsing the internets for stories! Thanks for any reading an any interest in this. Yes I know there is horrible spelling throughout the story. Title: The Story of a Man Who Lost Everything. Date: January 15th 2277Entry: Where, oh where to begin... What happened to me out in that forsaken wasteland I will never forget. -----Ten days ago... --It was a beautiful cloudy day. The rays of the sun broke through the clouds giving me a warm feeling of a great day. I have three kids, two sons and a daughter. Thier names are Jonathan, Bryce and Megan. To tell you the truth, Megan isn't my daughter, but a friend of mine that passed away, she doesn't know but I fear I may have to tell her one day. Alas, we are a happy family of four that resides in Megaton(Tenpenny), a slightly friendly place to live. We run a shop in our residence and deliver the goods to the locals. It is an easy going job and it pays decently. --We make a routine search outside of Megaton(Tenpenny Tower) to look for materials for our shop every 5th, 15th and 25th of each month. Today was Search Day, as I called it. We set out that day during the sunrise, boy was it beautiful. Jonathan and Megan are an inseperaple pair, they'd actually make a good couple, but lets not talk about that. Those two are always near me shuffling the area around us while Bryce scouts out the area to make sure all is well. Bryce hailed us from a far yelling he had found something interesting. We all ran to him when all of a sudden there was a loud sound and a bright flash, but it wasn't a landmine. When I came to seconds later I heard Megan's scream faintly, I think this "landmine" damaged my hearing temporarily. I looked around and saw her being dragged. I look to my left and was met with the butt end of a of what looks like a hunting rifle. I awoke minutes later only to see nothing but black, damn Raiders bound and blindfolded me. I could hear my two sons causing a ruckus with the raiders but I couldn't hear my daughter. **BANG** --I hear my daughter scream and I desperately try to take the blindfold off, finnaly it came off and I saw Bryce falling to the ground. The raiders cackled and pointed there gun at Jonathan by which time he had calmed down. After some threatening talk the Raiders started to rummage through our belongings taking what was valuable to them. I was met with another rifle butt to the face, not again... --I came to about fifteen minutes later and found I was alone. I saw drag marks and what looked like someone clawing the ground toward me. I couldn't believe what had happened... The Raiders took my son and daughter with them. I looked over at Bryce and tears streamed down my eyes. For some reason I feel Bryce had taken a higher road. --I stood up after gathering myself and gathered all that I could, even my son. I headed back towards Megaton(Tenpenny) so I could give my son a proper barial and to recoup from what happened. Also... To plan my revenge. Hours later I had baried my son and had loaded up on ammuntion, Moria(Replace with the tenpenny lady) is a beast in bed. After talking to some of the travellers that came to Megaton(Tenpenny) I found out about a slightly large settlement of Raiders in the town of Springvale. I highly doubt the raiders came from anywhere else but there. I packed up and headed out, but before I did I wrote this. --My will and testimant is this. To whom that discovers this book, please save my family. I know for a fact I will not make it out of there a live, but I must try. I bid you farewell and safe travels. Did you have a location for this book in mind? Also I would need to actually have your mod in order to place my part into it to make it work. Tony the Wookie Posted May 27, 2009 Share Posted May 27, 2009 I have a fairytail I could give you, im not realy sure how long it is, I'll have to go find it first could probly fit in little lamplight or the school, or mabe even a vault (if you want it to be in a vault, tell me and I might change up the story a bit (add vaultech advertisments) and deffinatly change the texture) I could also retexture the book, but for some reason I can't get photoshop to open .dds files...
