It's so incredibly decoupled from reality. Impossibly OVERLY OVERLY slim, massive forward arch, bronze colored skin, purple-pink nipples, purple-pink highlight on the pussy, all proportions totally out of whack. Surely you can do better.Edited by TheMrTape, 04 January 2023 - 03:22 pm. 07 January 2023 - 09:39 am So you named it "******* - ********", very clearly as in their physics, and somehow think it's your place or within that scope to start renaming ammo? Just now, hours after installing your mod, I realize this bs. How out of touch can you be? And you have all these install options yet force this. Did you trash my savegame now when I remove your abomination mod? Separate s***, separate mod. Burying the addition of this in change logs doesn't cut it. 07 January 2023 - 08:32 pm Thanks for your reply, and sorry for being bitchy. Downgraded to 1.2.I still don't understand why you had to change names. It's not required for the mod to work, is it? Are you saying that you were already there, so decided to improve it (subjectively)? I see it as a big disprovement, and a very unwarranted change, well outside the scope of this mod; not only does the naming have issues such as (Ammo) appearing in front of some, it's very annoying to have S&W etc. appended to ammo names for no good reason; it's not like there's different types of .38 in vanilla, so nothing to differentiate by overcomplicating the name, rather it generally becomes harder to identify calibers at a glance, and looks more chaotic. Realism shouldn't necessarily come before simplicity, the same way that realism shouldn't necessarily come before gameplay; realism WILL make a game worse, if it just slightly impacts those other aspects at little to no gain, it's a balancing act. It's just a fun machine, not a contest to replicate reality at all costs. This fallacy of thinking that realism automatically equals a good game, is something most of the gamedev field is suffering from, and why most new games suck; they prioritize realism way higher than gameplay and other desirable aspects. Another thing to consider, is that renaming stuff damages the integrity of the game; most people prefer authenticity, the real game from the real source, as long as it doesn't cause much of an issue, much less whatsoever like in this case. If every modder willy-nilly did their version of improving mod-unrelated aspects in arbitrary files/records, just because they happen to already be editing them in the process of making the actual mod at hand, the entire soul of the game would be modified into non-existence. At the very least, add an option during installation and make it opt-in, don't just assume that people want your arguably random pieces of self-perceived improvement, strapped onto what you're saying you're giving them. I actually took offense; I know it's free here, but I paid you elsewhere in freebies (averages), it's a transaction, not a gift, and as such, I'm offended the same, as when a product I buy, forces annoying aspects that impacts the usability of the product, like forced accounts for basic hardware, just because somebody figured it would be fancy or whatever. You made a really good mod, a definite must have, keep it at that and know your scope, because some would say that the re-naming is unacceptable, ruining their ability to use the mod for it's advertised and highly attractive purposes. Personally, the integrity hit along with my inability to accept something (within the context of an agreed-upon transaction), from somebody who deems it their right to assume/dictate for me (highly offensive; maybe I'm just a proper *censored*, or maybe I have proper self-respect, not sure), is enough for it not to be worth it. At least there is an alternative in the older versions, but I really think you should update the main with the name-changes opt-in. I figure I'm missing out on some improvements in later versions. 13 January 2023 - 07:18 pm The window textures emit light in total darkness, and therefore looks grossly unrealistic at night, with the dirt shining brighter than the sky. You objectively have to be insane to some degree, to think it's somehow fitting to have one-way windows with pictures as the blocking side. Honestly, what kind of idea is that? How does that even remotely relate to reality or work within it? It wouldn't. It trashes immersion per default. "Don't use them" you'd probably say, to which I'd reply "don't add trash to my game". I almost skipped trying out the mod just because you added the picture windows, it really screams that you're extremely out of touch with what's passable and suiting, which probably means that affected all other aspects of your mod too, which by the way looks to be the case.Edited by TheMrTape, 13 January 2023 - 07:34 pm.
