DaCrazyPom1994
Hello nexus community. I'm in need of some helping regarding....well everything with modding and such. :psyduck: I've recently purchased Fallout 3: GOTY on steam during their summer sale. Now I've looked at quite a few tutorials and forum and all that lark for modding Fallout 3 with FOSE and some other mods I'm interested in. Now, keep in mind I'm not the most computer literate gamer (just converted from Xbox 360) and would like to learn how to install mods, which actually work without clashing/ crashing the game and the usual. I'm hoping to install all these and I'm using NMM: Mart's mutant modsSharing and caring companionsAdvanced recon armour by Gopher (apologies if I've got the name wrong)Arefu extendedCrowded citiesFallout: ReanimatedProject beautyraider combat armorsmini hideout (sure that's the name. It's the one located under the garage in springvale. Sorry, like I said. Very new to this)Projectrealitymk1NMCs HD texture packmegaton retextured by neiMCFallout street lightsWeapon mod KitsRivet city retexturedBlack wolf wearable backpacksBusworldOver grown worldEnclave commander I'm hoping to get all of these to work together. Obviously if possible, I know I've got my hopes up too high, but all these mods look wonderful and I'm hoping to get them to all work on the same play through. I'm hoping someone out there can provide a detailed (VERY detailed) walkthrough on installing these or whichever are possible to install together. Thank you modding community and please show mercy to the very new guy... Edited December 10, 2013 by DaCrazyPom1994
bben46
http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-signs046.gifThere is a huge difference between playing on a PC with mods and just playing a game - you actually have to learn a little (very little) about computer file structure and do a little work to get things working properly. Download and use the Nexus Mod Manager ( look at the top of the FO3 mods page to find the link) The NMM makes it so much easier for a neophyte mod user. Us old timers had to actually learn how to do things on a computer like setting up folders, manual downloading, unzipping, copying files to various folders and archive invalidation. You still may have to do some of that, but NMM does most of it for you (including the dreaded archive invalidation) Look here to find tutorials and help for using the NMM: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Category:NMM Then, after you have a few mods and it suddenly starts crashing - Get BOSS http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/10193/? read the description, then go to the link it gives to download it. Some mods may require FOSE - the description in the mod should tell you - if you don't know, it won't hurt to have it whether it is being used or not. Again, read the instructions or it won't work. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/8606/? And when you get stuck - come back to the forums and ask
