Gorzog
Has anyone messed around with making supermutants armor-able? Is it even possible to do so, or is it an engine limitation? At the very least, we have a base "unarmored" supermutant to work with...
Gorzog
RESURRECTION! So, the initial intent here was (in addition to providing supermutant variety) to allow supermutants as a player race. I'm versed in (TES) modding but haven't used the GECK for more than 5 minutes or so. I've also dabbled in 3D modeling in the past (to the tune of several community college courses) but am familiar with neither blender nor nifskope. If I were to consider doing this myself, exactly how daunting of a task would I be looking at? What's involved in this process? Would it be a better idea to rig the SM to the standard human skeleton, or attempt to add animations to the SM skeleton? When we're talking about putting armor on creature like this, this means creating "new" meshes for every piece of armor, essentially, right? Is this feasible with a lot of work (it's a labor of love!), or simply not worth the effort?
