elennesse
Hi, my buddy's Vortex keeps throwing a Error 22 can't find D:\Programs\LOOT\LOOT.EXE when he opens it as it can't find loot.exe as he doesnt have a D drive. And it keeps popping up over and over ad nauseum so we can't do much to fix it. Other then using a flash drive to put that location onto his pc what other fixes can I try? Deleted6174501User
Sounds like what can happen if external LOOT App is added to dashboard Tools. If you can reach dashboard tab see if it's listed there (remove/don't use external LOOT App). Likely was inappropriately added by a collection. jaydawg55
Craglist's suggestion is a good one. If the Vortex dashboard shortcut points to the wrong drive/directory, you will never be able to launch the app you want. Not sure how a Collection could install a Vortex dashboard shortcut thought. But why do you even install LOOT at all? Vortex includes LOOT functionality built into it. That's how it sorts mods and plugins automatically. It also includes links to any LOOT notes about a plugin from within the Plugin view. If you have a dashboard shortcut for LOOT, I think you should delete it. I don't have it on my dashboard. Vortex sorts just fine for me both automatically and manually. Good luck. Keep working on it. It's worth it.
Deleted6174501User
Collections can set up a tools install & preset their dashboard links but ideally, curator shouldn't define this outside of vortex directory itself since not everyone would have that same designation prior to installing it. elennesse
Ok, thanks for the help you've given so far and I'll see if the collection he used is the culprit.
