Xenopunk 2077 - Xenoblade-inspired Features Ideas

Welp, after thoroughly playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3, I imagined Cyberpunk having some of XBs features.

So here is a collection of ideas, for anyone who's interested.

Do parts, the whole thing, or nothing at all. Whatever floats your boat. :P

So what would the whole thing feature?

- All Areas Open and Respawning Enemies

This is a basic one for all this to come together.

Everything is open, including areas normally reserved for certain story missions and then closed off forever, like Konpeki Plaza.

There are new Fast Travel Points in all of these areas, so you can fast travel there, whenever you wish.

Ideally, it also does away with the Watson-Lockdown in Act 1, allowing you to explore everywhere from the get-go.

And all enemies, other than Mission Targets, respawn when leaving and re-entering, so you'll never run out of baddies to whack. :P

- Elites, Unique's and Superbosses

Elites exist in any decently sized enemy pack, they're marked just like Netrunners in the base game.

They have a higher level and are overall tougher to take down.

But they also net you more EXP, Eddies and Street Cred, as well as dropping more and better/higher quality loot.

(You might want to include an option that enables or disables Elites in forced combat scenario's in mandatory missions. As the higher levels can mess you up.)

Unique's are high level, optional bosses, that exist in a lot of hidden areas, including the aforementioned story areas normally closed off.

Very tough to take down, but yield even more EXP, Eddies, SC and loot on defeat, as well as special rewards, the first time you beat them.

Leave a special Fast Travel point on defeat, that offers the option for a rematch.

(Alternatively, you could go to the Columbarium to find the graves of every boss you've defeated, allowing you to rematch them)

Superbosses are functionally the same as unique's, but have a higher level cap than the player and thus are always Red Skull enemies, even at Level 50!

- More diverse Enemy Packs

Enemies are more diverse, each with their own tactics.

Some get in your face and have higher HP, while others prefer to flank you. And others support the group.

Netrunners are more frequent, including Amateur Hackers, with weaker hacks.

Netrunners can also hack their allies, giving them temporary buffs.

- More and upgradable Weapon-, Clothing- and Cyberware Mods (Cyberpunk's Gems)

Weapons Mods for instance can now feature every possible weapon ability in the game as equippable mods.

Including bullets spitting into 2 or more, increased chance of dismemberment, Headshot damage, etc.

Iconic Mods are now a thing, featuring the strongest abilities, but very limited availability.

All mods can also be upgraded, granting higher Bonuses than normal, but require special crafting specs to do so (probably guarded by Unique's and Superbosses).

Not to mention having high material requirements for upgrading, especially on the higher levels.

- New Quests (probably Text Message based)

Not sure if it's possible to introduce new quests yet.

Probably need to be simpler in structure and, like I said, need to be initiated via text messages with other characters.

Though it could be possible to make certain follow-up quests.

Like, if you sided with Maiko, you could get a text message from the dolls, after Judy's final quest, to liberate Clouds and kill Maiko in an optional boss battle.

To name one example...

- Affinity Chart

Probably the biggest one and going hand-in-hand with the New Text-Quests.

Tracks the relations between all the different characters and factions.

Relations between characters and factions change depending on your actions and choices in the story and other quests.

And good relations with other characters could lead to new quests.

For example: If you have a good relationship with Dum Dum, you could get a text-quest from him, where you can get his Iconic Revolver, without having to kill him in Second Conflict.

You could also get good relations with certain factions, like the Aldecaldos (obviously), Militech, the Valentinos, the Animals, the 6th Street Gang, and even Mealstrom, if Brick is in charge.

Which could open up new vendors and other beneficial features.

Though certain factions, like Arasaka and the Scavs will always be hostile to you.

And those are all ideas I have.

You be the judge on how feasible all the individual features or the whole thing are.

Have fun! : 3
