Mod comment containing XML tags breaks "posts" page and "tracked content updates"

A user posted a comment explaining the XML configuration file for a mod.

https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/12012478-uni-map-multi-map-extender/page-18&do=findComment&comment=121428153

When viewing the "posts" page on the main Nexus site, this comment causes all other comments after it to fail to load. It also breaks the "add comment" and "reply" buttons on the mod comments page.

Additionally, since I'm tracking the mod, it causes my "tracked content updates" section to fail to load any comments after this one.

edited to add:

Opening Chrome's console on the mod's comment page and trying to add a comment generates an error in the console:

Uncaught ReferenceError: loadWYSIBBFor is not defined
    at HTMLAnchorElement.onclick (1534?tab=posts:3932:97)

I had trouble posting it. It was just a snippet of regular XML from a mod config file, I am not sure why it was breaking. First tried code tags, then I tried just using font tags. Then I realized I could edit it from the forums instead of the mod comments page, and that worked as expected. I didn't realize it was breaking other features. I edited the post to remove the offending code.
