Honed metal

Hi, I'm new to modding on PC. iIhave been playing skyrim on Xbox since it came out and played it 8 times over and loved playing with all the great mods that were allowed on there but, I wanted to try out new mods that are on PC. I have a decent Mod list and everything is working great except for Honed Metal. I have tried everything uninstalled and reinstalled change the mod order and updated skse to a newer version for AE and back to SE version but still gives me the same message. Honed Metal paused because Skse is not compatible to game version. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which version of Skyrim do you have?

 

Anything specially made for AE will probably not work on SE, but the reverse is not always true thankfully. To find out what version game you have, find the Skyrim EXE in your game folder and right mouse click on it. A menu should pop up. Select Properties from the menu. Another menu opens. Go to the Details tab of that menu. Highlight Product Version. Mine is 1.6.640, which is AE (Anniversary Edition). I tried to post a screenshot for you, but I am not allowed to do that in this forum.

This patch also works if you have the new GOG version of Skyrim. The GOG version number is higher than mine, but I don't know what it is. Hope this helps.

Hey jaydawg55, thanks for that. I'm running the same version you are on Skyrim and that link worked for me. It was driving me crazy trying to figure out what I was doing wrong and was so close to uninstalling and playing without it. A million thanks for your response and your help.
