mrbusiness
Hey guys. Im relatively new to modding Fallout 3. But I carefully followed the tutorial for installing a custom texture here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/articles/article.php?id=63 I did every step and am actually able to obtain my created item in game, where i placed it. It is a retextured scribe robe. However, when I put it on, I am wearing some brown vest and brown hat. I am then able to equip all of my armor at the same exact time. But I appear to still be wearing the brown vest and brown hat. I have the ArchiveInvalidation.txt in my Fallout 3 folder and I also changed the bInvalidateOlderfiles to 1 in the .ini file. The only problem that may be causing a problem is the fact that I have installed FO3 in my Program Files (i am running Vista). I am willing to reinstall but I want to see if anyone else has run into a similar problem and if they have a solution. By the way, before this problem, any custom texture would not load. Even in some mods I have downloaded. The model would load but then it would "take" whatever texture was nearby and apply it to the clothing. Odd. If anyone can help, i would appreciate it. mrbusiness
Seems I was able to overcome this problem. However now my robe is red (original color) instead of black(color I edited it to be).
mrbusiness
Problem fully resolved. Seems it was an ArchiveInvalidation.txt problem. I used FOMM and clicked on Toggle Invalidation and it worked. I was using the Fallout Launcher before.
