aaron0000123
I have been working ALL DAY to get my mods to stop conflicting with each other. I finally did it! But in the process I went through ALL 10,000 or so files and found all duplicates of all files and deleted them. I think in the process I may have deleted a few clothing textures. Either that or when I downloaded the City Life mod, some of the textures didn't transfer. A few different NPC's had completely invisible clothing and I could see: Shoes/Boots, face, underside of robes, and hands. It seems to just be on outfits or robes. Will I have to unpack the Oblivion textures.bsa and reinstall all of the textures? or does it have something to do with City Life? Thanks in advance :yucky:
BossDweebe
The invisible can be from missing normal maps. I think black is as well. If you haven't emptied your recycle bin already you can restore from there. When you talk of conflicts are you talking of problems that arose from them or justthat the conflict detector found lots. If it is the latter you wasted a lot of time as conflicts are not generally a problem. It just shows that two or more mods do something to the same person, place, of thing. The OBMM has some notes on what the conflict report really means. EDIT: Just read your other thread. _n.dds is a normal map. Normal maps are what give relief to surfaces on armor, rocks, just about everything. They also control gloss and transparency, and are necessary. Some items may work without them, but most require them.If you have just come from Morrowind you would not be familiar with normal maps. I have been told thatMorrowind did not use them. I have found all _n.dds files that have to do with robes and outfits and restored. This did work. Thank you for your help!I really need to conserve space on my HDD so I'll do a little more researching before completely restoring all items. I haven't entirely accepted my solution as the best so I'll keep trying to help you myself and the community. :D
