Rovole
I install fallout 3 and when I try to play only a pink screen shows. I get the "slide" sound, but almost immediately after, the program crashes. I'm running fallout 3 on an underpowered graphics card (only 126 video RAM), but I've gotten the green slide to actually show past the pink screen before, And I am suspecting a installation error, or graphics card setting changes. I also use FFDshow, but I added both fallout 3 exes to the exceptions list, for both video and sound. I also uninstalled CCCP, but it didnt make much of a difference. My OS is vista x64, but I run both fallout 3 exes with administrator privelliges, and I even turned off UAC. I also took ownership of the entire fallout 3 folder, but I cannot find the folder that saves my fallout 3 configurations. I installed windows live 2.0, and have directX 9c. Updated my video card drivers. If it makes any difference, I used a no-cd exe and a "less than legitamate" installer by skullptura. I also disabled windows live with a 3rd party program, but even when I dont do that the problem persists. I'm starting to think about cannibalizing my younger brother's laptop for his newer graphics card. Even if I cannot bypass the pink screen of death currently, in the past I recall crashing at a much later point whilst running fallout 3, when I tried to start a new game, bringing evidence that it was not explicitly my graphic card's fault.
