3DS Max Fails When Exporting .Nif Files

I've been using 3DS Max 2010 for about a month or two, and just when I began to create a decent looking model, 3DS Max crashes every time I try to export it as a .Nif file. Exporting works fine with every other model I have, but fails with this one. I believe something with the Weapons's body is causing it to fail, because when I export the Drum and Trigger it works perfectly. Here is a Mediafire folder to the model If anyone can fix this issue for me. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/jy806ctdml0gt/Empire%20Wasteland%3A%20The%20Big%20Apple

I have no experience with weapon modelling so I don't have much to say on that front unfortunetly. But as far as 3ds max exporting nifs go I do have this tutorial I can point to that helped me out. There is a picture where he shows the proper export settings for various model types. Link: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/3ds_Max_armor_to_Fallout_New_Vegas

But no I'm afriad I've no idea why your exporting is crashing. All I can suppose is that the model has some glitches or something? Sorry this isn't very helpful.

I was able to fix it. There was something with the stock's design that was causing conflicting errors. I was able to remake it with zero problems. But thanks for the helpful suggestion, custom armor is my next issue I need to tackle.
