I run vortex 1.7.8 for skyrim se/ae. Recently windows forced an an update too win 11. I had read it was better to run the game on another drive. I moved from c to d drive on steam. That went well. I couldn't find how to move vortex to d drive too. I deleted vortex. Reinstalled thinking I could change its location. It loaded fine. When I went to vortex to initially get it running. I logged in again which is where the issue started, I went into settings and everything was still set to c drive. when i clicked on the link to change it, the information jumped and partially or wholey deleted. Is there a way to reset that information? i have no idea what it said now. I just want to fix it so I can play my game, I have no screen shots or error reports Vic

Did you check the Knowledgebase for how to install Vortex? Since you deleted it, you are doing a new install when you re-install it. Follow the instructions in the Knowledgebase. Here is a link that will launch it in your web browser:

Getting Started with Vortex | Modding.wiki

If you want to Vortex on the same drive as you game(s) -- and it is not drive C -- you might want to use the installer for custom install location. Here is a link to the Vortex webpage:

Vortex at Modding Tools - Nexus Mods

Putting Vortex on the same drive as your game(s) may not be necessary. Browse the wiki to see what your options might be. I have games installed on two different drives (C+D). I have not tried to add mods to any of my D drive games yet. So, it might be a problem that I am not aware of.

Have fun!
