Viog
I am just trying to get some help on using mods. I have never used them in any game and can't seem to get much to work. Any help is appreciated.
Zady
Have you tried setting your invalidate from 0 to 1 in your Fallout.ini file? if not and if you dont know where you can find your fallout.ini file, its in C:\admin (or your user name)\documents and settings\my documents\my games\fallout 3. Open up the fallout.ini file and press ctrl+f and type in bInvalidateOlderFiles, when you find it, it should say bInvalidateOlderFiles=0 , change it to bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 this is so the game will recognize that there are other files it needs to look at (or however it works , im not that great at explaining this in full detail, im still a noob at how things work myself). Also make sure you read the install instructions thoroughly for the mod(s) you are using to the "T" , they are there for a reason. And when you start the fallout 3 game, before you click on "Play" make sure you mods are selected in the "Data Folder". Hope this is what you are looking for and this helps you. Viog
I have set the invalidate from 0 to 1. It's kind of working... I am trying to add the strip club... some of it is there but there are a lot of things not all of the way there. Instead there are red "!" all over the place inside the bar and one outside where the "Live Nudes" sign is supposed to be. I have tried to follow all the instructions and have selected the mods in the Data Folder.

Zady
Ah that sounds like the game isnt recognizing the meshes or textures, if u have Fomm (fallout 3 mod manager), unpack both the meshes and textures from the esm files into your fallout 3/data directory. I was making some of my own weapons when i was getting that every time i fired my weapon, found out it wasnt recognizing the 7.62 mm shellcasing, so i had to pull it from the meshes esm file and put it in the meshes folder in my fallout 3\data directory. Hope this helps you. thats only the other thing that i can think of that might be causing your issue. Im still a newb at the GECK so im not sure how to fix a hole lot. Alundaio
Are you using Fallout Mod Manager? Do you have FOSE (Fallout Script Extender)? If not search for them. Fallout Mod Manager has a button where you can Launch Fallout 3 with FOSE from it's menu. Alot of mods use FOSE nowadays.
