BossDweebe
Data/Meshes It has been that long I don't really remember if there is a Meshes folderbefore mods are installed. I might start at the beginning. Do you have the 1.2.0416 patch installed. If not get it in before you start.
Palpenious
Are you looking for the meshes from Oblivion itself? Or from a mod? For Oblivion you will need a program to unpack the meshes/textures, they are compressed into the .bsa files. For almost any mod, they will have added a new folder to be placed in your data folder along with the .esp file.
XJDHDR
zepprith is probably looking for the vanilla meshes and has no mods installed. Hence, you have to open the .bsa files (mainly Meshes.bsa) to find all the meshes used in Vanilla Oblivion. In my opinion, the best file to use for unpacking BSAs is Oblivion Mod Manager. XJDHDR
If you want to view or edit the meshes, you definitely have to extract them. You don't have to extract them all though, start with just the meshes you are working on.
