UnavailableForNow
So, I downloaded some car mods from the Mafia II mods, and I was wondering if I could use them for the definitive edition.
ILikeSgex
To what I understand about Mafia II mods, a large portion of them should function the same way. The file structure of both games is incredibly alike, in fact, they appear to be the same thing, just with higher quality textures, and changed lighting. So theoretically, it should work, but it's at least worth trying.I was able to get a Mafia II plantation mod to function on Mafia II: DE and some other smaller miscellaneous mods, but no car mods, but still, they should work
norskpl
There are two major differences between this two games. #1 Materials have changed, so if you gonna see green car/building or any other model then probably mod is dedicated for the classic version. You can convert cars from Classic to Definitive Edition with this guide. #2 Definitive Edition uses newer Fmod Sound System (FSB5, since Mafia 2 classic uses FSB4), if you can't hear the sounds of vehicles or other sounds then probably fsb files (sound files) are old.You can always extract fsb4 and create FSB5 file with Fmod Engine 2.02.03.
