Additional Daedric Quests

I had an idea for a mod and after searching for some time now I couldn't find any that are related to this idea. Please or Displease is the concept. Like any Daedric quests it will gasp the player's actions to determine the rewards. Quests should progress with the actions that you take and then will determine the outcome.
I've already started making one quest that uses this idea, here is the summary:

Quest: Nothing is Sacred to Daedra

Plot: After getting and charge the Ebony Blade Dovahkiin is still not satisfied by this artifact (this was my general opinion about this particular artifact because it should be or a powerful two handed weapon or biggest one handed weapon in the game, this is also part of the quest) but little can it do about it. Here enters the idea of several outcomes, from this point the quest will advance only by your choice:

1- you will be approached by a black robed man who will introduce himself to you as a merchant of odd artifacts and will want to buy the ebony blade for a lot of gold, too much for vanilla price. you can accept and the quest will advance prolong a bit or refusing the offer, if you refuse he will try to persuade you further, refusing once again he will say if you want to buy something from him but his prices will be bad, he will have a book called Reality of Bindings that you will have to read in order to advance the quest but it may have different outcome "when" you read it. refusing all of his offers will result in him calling you bad names and teleporting himself leaving dremora lords fighting you. After that you may investigate this guy further later on.

2- Few days later you will be approached by an elder who will ask if you encounter a man that was a oddities merchant and then he will say that he is a mage that wants to bind himself to Daedric powers using their artifacts and may target you for having the Ebony Blade. This elder was a former necromancer who also tried to do that ritual but he realized that it may endanger many if the ritual goes wrong. You will have to choose if you want to Kill him on place, exploring this subject further or going for the "merchant". Either way you need to read the Reality of Bindings to advance (this is the only part of the quest that is inevitable after that you are free to do whatever you want).

3- You may explore and find this book on a vampire or necromancer's loot (chances are low but it still possible).

Either actions will lead you to a place called Profane Lair after reading the book and here based on your choices earlier will affect the next part of the quest.

This is just a small part of this quest, you will still need to do A LOT to advance in this adventure and many many more choices to make, some of them will lead to failing the quest completely and some prolong the adventure.

I want to know what you think of this idea and if I should advance further in to completing the goal of finishing the quest and/or making quests like this to other daedra lords, the ones I think can be done are: Molag Bal, Boethiah, Mehrunen Dagon, Clavicus Vile, Meridia, Vaermina, Sheogorath, Hircine, Azura, Sanguine, Namira and Peryite. The other Daedric princes were left alone because they already have official content.

I want to know what you think about this

any feedback is appreciated!

riverbrian, My original plan was just to cover the Ebony Blade because when I first obtained it I thought of it like the Ultimate Daedric Artifact and after that was the disappointment. To make it the fastest two handed blade or the longest one handed blade was the goal of this mod. The reward for the quest is to remodel the Daedric Weapons to your own taste, Still I need a lot of help because I'm a noob with CK and I'm working alone xD

Up to this point I've managed to create a few ungoing quests, here is the list:

  • Nothing is Sacred to Daedra - Ebony Blade;

  • A Heart of a Prey (After getting done Hircine's quest you will find a undying werewolf (a draugr werewolf) asking you to help him going to Hunting Grounds. But if you think it will be easy you may have a surprise.

- Saviour's Hide and a bonus (I won't reveal this one, its powerful and may be really useful if you spend a lot of time traveling)

  • Cure for Death (Only if the Skull of Corruption is in your possession) Dreams of living are not enough for the Skull
  • Sleeping Souls (Only if the Skull is destroyed) It may be that destroying the Skull was a mistake

- CfD reward: Corruption (True Skull of Corruption)

SS reward: Massive reward of gold or a passive power that may be useful to evil characters

  • Pact With a High Cost (It feels good having the shadows dancing with the Ebony Mail but something doesn't feel right when you close your eyes...)

- Reward: Just body armor? nah, let's have a set! aaaand one more surprise that may or may be not than the set, the choice is yours to make

  • Call Awaits (Following the Cursed Tribe you find out that the hammer won't bend to your will, have the Malakath played one of his curses on you or wielding such a hammer puts you to the test of this Heretic Prince?

- Reward: unbind this weapon from Malakath's influence and use it to bend your opponents will as well as their bones

  • Feast Never Ends (Being invited to the court of a dear "Feast" friend has more blood that even a devout follower of Namira will be sick)

- Rewards: Bind all around you with the vision of a Namira's Paradise with this gift of repulsing darkness

Until this point these are the quests I'm doing, any feedback will be appreciated.

All these quests will start after finishing the Nothing is Sacred to Daedra and after all of them finished a bonus quest of true Daedric difficulty and a questline that will make you the first champion of the Daedra and will taint your Dragon's blood with Daerdic one's. for now its just an idea and I'm not sure if I can make it but if I can the phrase "... but there's one they fear..." will start to make sense.

Any update on the progress of this mod? I've put well over 2000 hours into playing skyrim and would love more daedric oriented quests, or additions that expound on the current quests. The original daedric quests felt short and cheap to me, go here and kill x, boring.

  • 1 month later...

For technical issues i had to start from scrach but I already have one quest in final phase and two in progress, if everything goes as I planned the first quest mod will be released in summer if not earlier, then other mods will come out a month after. One point that I need to remind, all these quest will lead to a bigger questline and if I can get help with this then it will become not just quest and items od, it will add powers, spells, new lands... Ambition is to make a full DLC sice Bethesda didn't made it
