Leguanbarn
Hi!Could someone please help me? My Tilde key stoped working after I installed the TES construction. I can still write but it is only capital letters and caracters have changed places. I had to install TES construction to solve a problem in the addon The Lost Spires (wish is great btw). I tryed to edit bAllowConsole from 0 to 1 as I have done once before, when the tilde key did not work at all, but now I cant find bAllowConsole in the file Oblivion_default.ini I have a laptop with vista 64 on and it works good apart from this. Sorry for my poor English.
bben46
The Oblivion.ini you need to change is the one located in C:\Documents and Settings\your name\my documents\my games\oblivion. The tilde key is disabled when you have an infrared device enabled on your computer (Ask Microsoft why) you may need to disable any built in IR to get the tilde to work at all. Even with the bAllowConsole turned on. The all caps and letters changing places may be a bad keyboard or keyboard driver. The CS should not affect that at all. Or, Do you use a non English keyboard? I have no trouble understanding your English. It is excellent.
Leguanbarn
Thank you for your answer. :thanks: I found the right file and bAllowConsole was set to 1. I have no infrared device enabled and I do have a non english keyboard. Having said that the tilde key seems to be working on and off during this time I have been poking around the Oblivion files telling them and the computor ugly words. I guess it is something wrong with the keyboard and/or the computor. Now I know what I have to do. (Throw the computor at the wall and then jump on it  ) Tanks again for your help.
