Werewolf_13
Hi. I just downloaded Timeslips shader replacement mod and I think its`s a great mod. But I have the soqui mod that gives you a heat vision night eye. If I activate it after i for example activate infrared, it will replace the night eye already there. I activate the nighteye through a spell.Right now I have to exit the game and open omod everytime I want to change the Nighteye shader. I just wonder if it is possible to change the shaders in game so I can use all the shaders by swiching between different shaders? XJDHDR
Does the Soqui mod change the Night-eye shader by itself? Could you please explain your installation and usage in a bit more detail?
Werewolf_13
Does the Soqui mod change the Night-eye shader by itself? Could you please explain your installation and usage in a bit more detail? You get two spells with the soqui mod. One is a heat-seeking Nighteye and the other one is a kind of e tracking device that helps you find people. When I add the shader mod the heat-seeking nighteye turns turns into the nighteye I chose from OMOD. For example infrared. I will then se in infrared when i activate the spell instead of the orginal heat-seeking nighteye the mod comes with. It will return to heat-seeking when i deactivate the shader mod in OMOD. Hope this explains well enough.
XJDHDR
That explains it perfectly. Unfortunately though, the night-eye shader is created using one of 16 SDP files in your Oblivion dirctory. Timeslip's mod works by editing these files to display the night-eye shader in a different colour, depending on your choice. Because Timeslip's and the Soqui mod edit the same thing, the two edits can't be stored at the same time. You will have to choose either one or the other or find a way to merge both of them. Is the heat-seeking night-eye shader only used by the Soqui or by all the races. If only the Soqui, my theory could be wrong and some further investigation would be needed. Werewolf_13
It is only the soqui that uses the Nighteye heat-seeking vision. It followed the soqui race. Thanks for the help so far.
Werewolf_13
Is there a way to change it in game or do you have to exit to change Nighteye?
XJDHDR
If only the Soqui use the Infrared vision, then you have given me an interesting problem. I think I will need to download the Soqui mod and see what is going on to help you further. Unfortunately, TESNexus is giving me IPS Drive errors at the moment so I will have to try later. As far as I know, you can only change shaders while outside the game. If the Soqui's heat vision is a modified Night-eye though, it would mean that an ESP can change the shaders or something in the game. Once I get the mod though, I might be able to better answer your question.
Werewolf_13
Hi Have you had time to look at it?
XJDHDR
I just had a look at the mod and there doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary in the ESP or data files. The heat-vision spell seems to be just a normal night-eye spell. Next step for me would be to install and actually use the race, which I will have to try this tomorrow (my job eats away a lot of my day).
