'Flying' trees

Recommended Posts

Well... the trees in the air are the problem, as you may see on the screenshot

€: mhm, the screenshot is a little bit to dark... maybe i will make a new later, but I'm not at my PC right now.

You said you removed the trees in the GECK? What exactly did you do? Deleting vanilla objects generally causes problems, although this might not be caused by that. Anyway, it's adviced to set objects to "initially disabled" instead. Also, run FO3edit and check if any other mod is conflicting with yours. If you have patch 1.5 run the FO3edit masterupdate.

I deleted the most, and moved the others to enother place...

in the Game, i can actually walk through the trees

Deleting is BAD. FO3edit has a function to change objects you've already deleted into initially disabled. I can't remember how it works, you should do some searching. Deleting things can cause crashes and stuff, but as I said I'm not even sure if that's what's causing this. There's probably some incredibly simple solution to this, but as I'm not very experienced in exterior landscaping I can't help much.

Ah, and the trees look like cardboard cut outs yes?

What I believe you are seeing are the LOD trees, what you see from a distance before actually coming up and seeing the static tree.

Messing with the LOD generator and generating a new LOD would solve the problem I imagine, however it isn't worth it. To generate new LOD's can take several.... several SEVERAL hours, if the Geck doesn't crash.

I just sucked it up and built around the trees.
