Krsz
Hi guys, I hope you can help me with this problem I've encountered:Well, let me start at the begining. When I fought Miraak during the Dragonborn questline, I got the weird problem that he stayed in ethereal mode while trying to absorb the dragon souls. The problem was, that the dragon souls were always immediately absorbed by me, so he wasn't healed, yadda yadda. When I searched for a solution to this problem I found several different ones - apparently that's a quite common bug. These solutions included hiding, moving away from the dragon, battling the dragons in mid-air, etc. but none of them actually worked for me. However I managed to get rid of that problem by using console commands and always reseting Miraak's health to 100% so that he would leave ethereal mode. That actually worked, except that the battle then went on forever, because he couldn't kill the third dragon and therefore couldn't absorb its soul and reseting his health at this point only made him repeat the whole process. So then I had to kill him off using console commands. Goody. I used the console commands mentioned in the Elder Scrools Wiki (SetStage DLC2MQ06 500 and 580) to finish the quest and make the black book appear. Everything seemed okay, until I realized that the battle music kept playing. That, too, doesn't seem an unusual bug as I found plenty of solutions to this one, but here's the problem: again, they didn't work. I tried dying, starting and ending a new fight, restarting the game, loading my last save state again, waiting, but nothing happens. Apparently, you can use console commands (again), but to do that, I'd have to know the name of the song played during the battle against Miraak, as "removemusic muscombat" only refers to the generic one. I even tried the console command "player.SCAOnActor" which should apparently turn of anything battle-related. Again, nothing. So that's what happened. It's a bit complex and it seems to me as if there are two possibilities here: either find a new solution to the bug in Miraak's fight or find some way to stop this music from playing.Anyway, I hope someone can help me with this problem. edit: well, seems like my question just answered itself. I found out that the name of the song played during the fight against Miraak is called DLC2MUSCombatBoss. So typing "removemusic DLC2MUSCombatBoss" solved the issue. Sorry for bothering you.A moderator might want to delete this topic since it's obsolete now - or maybe it would be a good idea to keep it, in case someone has the same problem. bt70a9
!CONFIRMED WORKING!I had the same problem, i used the "SetStage DLC2MQ06 500 and 580" command and he did not die, so i had to use commands. I used "TCL" with nothing targeted in console, then clicked him (in console command) then i exited command console and flew pretty far away and wrote a command line "moveto player". then i flew back to the book, and wrote "Resetai" (with Miraak's base code still there) while sneaking on top of the black book, because i could not leave while in combat. Then i used the Book (To Solstheim) and used "TCL" command again. (with no one/thing targeted)But i had disabled the music long before i fought Miraak, so i did not know when this bug had happened. It just was there when i enabled music again, and now i tried all the "Fixes" Krsz mentioned above... And then i saw it. THE EDIT! Tested it, i thought i was still screwed because the music was still there, and after a couple of secs the damn music stopped. It worked, YAAAAY!!! I can now play the game with music enabled, thanks to this!Thank you soo much Krsz!
