CuckADuck360
Was working on a patch the other week and everything worked out well, did everything correctly, patch works. Problem is now my Data folder has changed. Before the problem my (esp) Plugin titles would always have .esp after them and if you wanted to change them to an esm you would just rename the .esp part to .esm so you can use its assets from mods in the creation Kit. Standard stuff. Thing is I wanted to do another patch and after changing esp flags to esm in the FO4 edit (standard for preparing plugins for the creation kit), and well all my mods and I mean all my mods in the data folder that used to have .esp at the end of it after their textures and meshes no longer have .esp in the file name. They are still read as esp file type and everything works in game, but the .esp is no longer in the file name in the data folder. When I try to type .esm to rename the file to an esm it doesn't do anything it still registers as esp. Its as if nothings happened. Pretty confident this Vortex editing things it shouldn't so ill post there as well. Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?Normal file after its textures and Main in the data file bellow its textures (if it has any if not then main) would be ModExample.esp and to change it to an esm you would rename it to ModExample.esm. but esp isnt showing and renaming to esm is doing nothing. Cant access a patches dependency file in the Creation Kit without first converting it to an esm file. Wierd thing is for my esms and my esls they still have their add ons at the end of their titles. It's just the esps. Very weird issue. Might have to redownload every single mod again if I ever want to check non active files again in the CK. CuckADuck360
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not change the issue so this is probably something vortex update may have changed. Edited March 12, 2023 by CuckADuck360
