The Walking Dead Role-playing Mod Request

Greetings prospecting modders, its Robsmith here with what is hopefully a reasonable idea and not just the though child of too much cola and HBO. Recently I had a zombie movie night that evolved into a spree of The Walking Dead, and all the while I was thinking about how much I would love to step into the shoes of Rick and be a survivor in the apocalypse. Then I remember that that would really suck, if it were real, but there's always video games! Unfortunate for myself and I'm sure many of you all here, the Walking Dead game published by Activision sucked. But there is hope, so I ask today for volunteers to produce a mod inspired by The Walking Dead, with three key ideas.

Firstly, there should be almost no NPC's in the game apart from the occasional lone survivor and heavily armed marauders. I have seen a technique used in other mods where the actors are not just removed (apparently this causes problems) but all placed in a hidden cell. A example of a lone survivor I imagine would be someone hold up in a gun store, willing to trade if you convince him *EDIT this person already exists in the game, the great khan armorer, by changing the conditions of trading with her you could have access to a well armed and well stocked store to barter with. I also thought of a nod to the original Walking Dead by replacing Doc. Mitchel with a sniper, the last man in Goodsprings.

Secondly, zombies almost everywhere. By modeling them off of the ghoul its possible that the individual can customize them, various mods already on the nexus give them immortality save a head shot and slow shuffling.

Lastly, would be to add and tweak the level lists to give more mundane items, for vanilla crafting and more food, water, ammo and medicine. If possible it would be a dream to remove caps all together, as bartering with a select few would be more realistic. Also the addition of more dead bodies in and around towns, to simulate natural death and the actions of other 'survivors'.

Other things like disease, weight, medicine and other 'hardcore' options could be left to the discretion of the user. Obviously the mod would be very incomparable with vanilla and other mods, but would rather be for its own play through.

I am asking for modders that could make this mod to write here, I'm not familiar with Fallout NV modding which is why I am asking here for someone with a love for zombies to bless us with a truly great Walking Dead mod.

EDIT #2: After thinking this mod could be accomplished by a plugin that simply moves all the NPC's bare Doc Mitchel and the Khan armorer to a hidden dummy cell, you could then add the already existing zombie mods to this for a reasonable reconstruction of a world similar to The Walking Dead.

I'm no modder but I believe there would be challenges to doing it that way, mainly that copying the world space would also cause problems. A mod for Fallout 3 tried to do just that and the existing way paths and what not caused a lot of problems. I'm thinking I might just do it myself but my Internet has been slow lately so finding suitable tutorials is painful.

I have a suggestion if you'd like. It's not as a robust role playing gaming experience as you had in mind but I was thinking you could try combining the Real Time Settler mod and say Prove Your Worth for a kinda Walking Dead experience vs hordes. The only problem is that Prove Your Worth spawns a lot of ghouls so FPS will take a hit and crashes are to be expected. Just throwing this out there.

That was the long term plan! Go around gathering supplies and then set up in the prison (A totally original idea :P) with the wasteland defense mod and RTS. I have done this in the past with various zombie mods but it never felt real, what with massive untouched towns all over the landscape. I always 'cheated' and went and traded with them. In my mind the experience of helplessness and terror would be magnified if you found Novac abandoned or the once bustling streets of Vegas reduced to a walkway for the damned.
