Primantis
Hi there folks I'm trying to get Weight Painting down, but one thing is confusing me. What exactly are these "Body part" vertex groups that I see? Such as "BP_RIGHTARM" I don't see any such nodes on the skeleton? I've just been painting them Red with decent results, but I'm curious as to what they actually do. Also, any tips on preventing things from "crunching"? Arms are a good example.. I'm trying to make my forearms armored, but they crunch badly at the elbow. Thanks in advanced!
roguehallow
Primantis, I work with Blender some so I may be able to help, but I'd like to ask you to clarify. What specific mesh are you working on? Also, please define "crunching", as I may have encountered it before but don't know it by that name. Thanks, roguehallow
Primantis
I was just using generic terms, but lets say I'm working on shoulder pads. By "crunching" I mean that, lets say when you crouch the shoulder pads kinda squish together as well, when all I want them to do is lower down with the body. But my main question is what exactly do the vector groups such as "BP_LeftArm" actually control, since they are not found anywhere on the skeleton as far as I can tell.
