NPC do drugs?

I just thought it would be useful to get NPCs on drugs, to either enhance their combat, or increase their perception etc. Would also prehaps open up the option for every npc to trade, kinda like in STALKER. Thoughts, opinions, already done?

Didn't FO1/FO2 have the ability to barter with anyone? Or am I remembering wrong?

Ah yes, I could actually try contributing to the topic.

It seems that I haven't done enough drugs (my drug of choice being caffeine) today, because I read this as you wanted the possibility of companions getting addicted to drugs (which would be very cool, them coming to beg the player to give them more substance and promising this will be the last time...just imagine how expensive it will be to support Fawkes' addiction...but do you dare to deny him his fix and face his wrath?). Drug usage for performance boosting might not actually be impossible. It should be easy-ish if the stimpack usage is not hardcoded and even if it is, adding a script that initiates drug usage depending on some conditions should be possible to make.
