I've asked in all of the Mutant Menagerie mod pages and can't seem to get a reply: I downloaded Mutant Menagerie close to when it first came out. There's now been several updates. I would like to update all the way to current, but I don't know if a new game is required, or if this particular mod is safe to update mid-game. I'm currently about 70% done with a playthrough (character level 265) and I'm not ready to start over yet, but I'd love to add the Nuclear Safari add-on, and that requires the current version of Mutant Menagerie to work. Does anyone know if Mutant Menagerie is safe to update to the latest version on an existing playthrough? Or does it require a new game start if you update? Big thanks to anyone who can reply! The only one who can answer that with certainty would be the mod author.If he/she is not responding, I would advice to stick to the rule: "When in doubt, don't." Is there a 'change log' ?, if so, it might hold info as to what changed and if that requires a new game start, or anything on the description page? as it would be wise & nice if the author reports such things to inform users. This is a pretty popular mod, so I'm sure someone on here has first hand experience with updating to new versions. I don't necessarily need a mod author reply (I did try); I just need anyone who has ever updated Mutant Menagerie in their load order to tell me if they needed to start over or not. Couldn't find a listed answer to this question anywhere, so I just updated. So far, updating from a very early edition of Mutant Menagerie and then adding Nuclear Safari has been no problem at all.
