Draco856
All my door teleports in a mod I'm making teleport me into the door instead of in front of it, and some put me on top of the door and out of the normal cell area. How do I fix this?
XJDHDR
When in the Construction Set, do you see a yellow rectangle near the door you have placed? That's a teleport marker and that indicates the place a character will be teleported to when they activate the linked door. You probably didn't move the marker to somewhere in front of the door, hence the problems.
Draco856
Are these teleport markers visble in the window that shows the contents of the current cell? Or are they just part of the door itself?
XJDHDR
They are visible in the preview window (shows the contents of the couurent cell).
Draco856
Okay, so that means I have to actually put them in the cell myself, they don't come with the doors... Edit: So, what do the Xmarker, XmarkerHeading, and NorthMarker do?
XJDHDR
No, you don't add them to the cell yourself. They are placed near each door when you link two doors together. Don't you see anything yellow near the doors you have put into your mod? As for your other question,-XMarker is an invisible marker used for AI and scripting (eg: If you need an NPC to stand in a specific place, place an XMarker and add the required AI package. Or if you need to check if the player is a certain distance from a specific location, add this marker and then use a script).-XMarkerHeading is the same as XMarker except anything told to interact with this marker will end up facing the direction the marker is facing.-NorthMarker is used only for telling Oblivion which direction in a cell is north. Open any cell in the construction set and you will see a NorthMarker in all of them. In the game, the NorthMarker affects your compass and the detail map. Draco856
No, nothing like that was placed when I put the doors in.
XJDHDR
Try this then: Open the Construction Set.At the top below the window's blue name bar, click on "View".In the menu that appears, is there a check mark next to "Markers"?If not, click on it and markers should now be enabled. Now try again. If markers is checked, I don't know what's wrong.
katashy
A faster way to do it is while the render window is active, press "m".
XJDHDR
My method might be longer but you can actually see whether markers are enabled or not, something you can't easily do when bashing the M key.
