Can't change from an old drive - can't mod the game on a new drive

I used to have Skyrim SE on a D drive along with the mods. I do not have that drive any longer however, Vortex recognizes Skyrim still on the D drive and says there are 86 mods installed . There should be none since both are fresh installs.

And Vortex now recognizes Skyrim on my C drive and opens the Skyrim folder - the new install but still thinks it's on the D drive.

When I first run Vortex I get an error message that says "Accessing D\Steamlibray\steamapps failed with an error that indicates a hardware problem." The problem that director no longer exists as it was on the old drive.

When I try to run or unmanage Skyrim I get a similar error message that reads "Accessing D\vortex mods\skyrimse\name of mod failed with an error that indicates a hardware problem" Again, this drive no longer exists.

I installed Skyrim SE on to my C drive along with (when I got the error the first time I uninstalled and reinstalled) Vortex Manager.

Can you please help with fixing this?
