Cats and Rats in the wasteland!!

didnt rats mutated in mole rats?

Fallout 1 + 2 had normal rats, so I think it'd be a little hard justifying that the normal rat were wiped out entirely on the East coast while they thrive and are well on the West coast.

In any case, I think adding more diverse life to the wasteland in general would be a great addition to the game - at least one would think there'd be a lot more "survivors" and mutated strains of the various wildlife than in the vanilla game. Heck, how about mutated moose while we are at it?

Mole Rats Are Maybe the Mutation of Rat and Mole's Child ????

Methinks.

But that Would be "Rat Mole"

So it Should Have Been the Mutation of Mole and Rat's Child ????

Methinks Again.

cats are still around, whoever wrote that http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Cats (brotherhood of steel people) are only saying so because apparently the cats were caught and eaten, wild cats are hard to find (in the Texas area). Or they are lazy lore-writers, or being silly.

Even to this day many different animal species which are often considered extinct still show up when you go into the remote areas to look. Back to the topic of felines, there are hundreds of species of cats, its a bit silly to just say 'they all got eated because they were easy prey'

cmon now. dont be silly. They would still be all over the place. Nature is resilient, takes more than a few nukes to ripe out species altogether.

i think that fallout wiki article is a bit of a tongue in cheek joke explaining why theres no cat models in the game. Likewise there were similar stories about horses for Fallout 1 and 2, explaining that they all went extinct also (but in reality the truth was the devs didnt implement horses, so they made up a lore story to excuse it)
