Quest for Glory style Skyrim Request for TES6 - Playing what you build

So, you say - disable Barenziah Stones quest because the NPC collecting it is in Thieves Guild den. I say - but you could make alternative gem collector NPC. I've also seen some mods that did that. So, that's a flaw in your original mod request.

But I'm all in favor for a better guide to quest-fixing mods. Care to elaborate on "some parts need you to Join a Faction to continue a fraction part of a Quest."? Then we can check if there is a quest-fix mod for every such issue.

I also agree that to "say just Ignore the Quest or dont go there", this is a solution with the only advantage of being a cheap solution; but it worked for a while. And when considering improvements in this area, the skill-threshold-as-a-barrier-to-join-a-guild and maybe you-failed-guild-questline-because-you-joined-their-enemies seems much better as a base idea then quest-for-glory immutable class system.

All good points, but as a Fighter and a Mage, the Barenziah Stones are stuck on your Character unless through a Mod to drop or sell them

Again, some parts need you to Join a Faction to continue a fraction part of a Quest.

Plus, i read many times where People just dont like Mods in fear of Bugs or Save Bloats, many prefer the Vanilla Gameplay where such Choices needs to be implemented in the Vanilla Game.

Its not enough to say just Ignore the Quest or dont go there, RPG Games needs to have Choices and Alternatives through the Vanilla Game instead of relying on Mods.

In Real Life if i go Murder an Abusive Nanny, the World isent going to Rejoice me as a Hero, my Butt is in Jail for Murder plain and simple, hence a Choice is made for me to Report her to the Police so they can take care of it.

Well, doing a faction quest usually means you need to join that faction... So you want to become a Archmage but not do the quests? Lawl.

Seriously, the game already HAS alternates. Those that were missing, modders jumped in. Bethesda loves modders, that's why they allow their games to be modded. Also, you're not providing alternates to this, you're cutting quests off. Not everyone plays as a typical warrior, thief or mage, there's spellswords, rouges, assassins, paladins, pilgrims and MORE classes to be played! You're basically saying you don't want people to play as that and CUTTING the creative part of SKyrim out. Is that what you want, no creativity in Skyrim? Just go there, do this quest and not roleplay with your character? Is so, you shouldn't be playing an RPG.

Your idea does not add anything. It doesn't add choices or alternatives, it cuts them out.

Looking at the Links of alternatives makes me realize the OP Thread is missing something, because its not meant to just cut Quests and restrict Factions for TES6, but to go in through Alternative ways without Joining. :ninja:

In other words, TES6 should have what the Alternative Mods present, so yea i made a boo boo and should post those Links as Examples.

Like i said, there are Mods that gives the Alternatives, hopefully TES6 will have those Alternatives.

Hmm i guess im Confusing Old Style RPG Gaming with today, because in the Old Days you were just a Fighter and or Mage and or Thief in Quest For Glory.

I never said i want to be an Archmage, i said if i want to Join a Faction, i want the Ability to give Leadership to the next guy.

True Bethesda Loves Modders, but now through the Alternative Mods, they can Implement Alternatives for TES6 and make Choices in Quests Better.

No, you never said you wanted to give leadership away. You never said you wanted alternatives to factions,. You simply want players forced to be good or bad, depending on their class. Guess what? There's good-hearted thieves, power-hungry warrior and corrupt mages.

Posted

Do people actually want this though? I don't. No one else here does... Except for you. We don't want this. You do.

So you want to Join the Dark Brotherhood and go on a Murder Spree.

You want to Butcher a Priest for the Pleasure of Molag Bal.

Paarthurnax should Die because Delphine Ordered you to do it.

Sure its your choice and you can do whatever you want, but you cant speak for everyone else, People want Optionals and Alternatives, otherwise those Mods with Alternatives are just plain Useless where i Must Join Every Faction and do Every Quest and just live with it.

Yes, if I have an assassin

Yes, if I'm playing my Dunmer vampire

Nope, Delphine's a *bleep* :D

Neither can you, can you? The Elder Scrolls is an extensive, role playing game that gives player choices to make their character how they want. You are basically saying, "Oh no, you can't do Daedric Princes because you're a warrior!" Well guess what? My warrior Nord fell of the bandwagon and got corrupted by power and now serves Sithis. There ARE already alternatives and options, even in vanilla Skyrim. You are not providing a solution, you're creating a problem by cutting and stereotyping.

No one makes you join every quest. No one makes you do everything. You have a CHOICE. And where you don't, there are mods. Should Bethesda offer more alternates in TESVI? Yes, absolutely. But in the way you want them? No. You cannot CLAIM to speak for the TES community when people are clearly telling you, "No, this isn't a good idea."

What Alternatives and Options in Vanilla Skyrim without Mods are there and how do you mean im cutting and stereotyping.

Aela the Huntress approached and told me to Join the Companions when i first met her and Brynjolf stalked me and practically Begged me to join.

So yea i do have a Choice, but Only through a Mod

Why do you say People dont think this is a good idea for Alternatives, but you say its a good idea for TES6

You say warriors don't use magic. That's stereotyping. Saying, "You can't do this because I said so!" Is cutting.

You can ignore Brynolf and tell him you have no interest. Same for Aela.

I never said that either. I would say I'm done, but this is kind of funny to watch. Do you kit want freedom in TES games at all?
