Infinem
Hello There everyone, So I am new to nexus mods and was trying to replay one of my favourite games over winter break: The Elder Scrolls Oblivion. Now, when I find a mod like Deadly Reflex(http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/8273/?) it gives an option to "Download NMM" which brings it to my mod manager as a single mod, I activate it, and it goes. Simple and intuitive, and props to the makers of the client. However, when I am trying to install a mod like Quarls Texture pack III (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/18498/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Foblivion%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D18498&pUp=1) it has multiple components downloaded seperatley and when I try to activate them in the mod manager it only activates one, and if I try to activate another it deactivates the one previous to it. How can I combine these parts into one whole. Another flavor of the issue: the Persuasion Overhaul mod has the mod to download, and the sound files to download, yet when I try to activate one in the mod manager the other is deactivates. How can I go about combining these files?http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/12367/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Foblivion%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D12367&pUp=1 Thank you for the help. Tristan. Edited December 19, 2013 by Infinem
lonewolfkai
NMM is not the best mod manager for Oblivion. Either use WyreBash or OBMM. NMM is better suited for Skyrim. The other questions I'm not sure of, but they're probably related to using NMM. Typically when there's a multiple part mod, you just download their separate components, and then just merge all the Data files together.
Harvald
Hi,the mods you've choosen are not for NMM, cause they are made before there was a NMM. They are made for modding by hand and modding with OBMM. Deadly refelex is made for modding by hand and you only need the main file. The other ones are for Users who have already installed previous versions. Ouarls is made for OBMM. Activate in OBMM in order of the numbers. Perhaps this helps http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/10200/? Persuation Overhaul, you do not need any order because ist only one mod. You have to chose what soundfile is better for your operating system. With BSA for a slow harddrive, without for a fast harddrive.
