goranpaa
I just got me a Radeon HD 7850. Before I had a Geforce GTX 260 that worked flawless with my modded Oblivion. Today running the Radeon card for the first time and after a clean installation of the Catalyst driver. That is, I did uninstall all NVida stuff + did run Driver sweeper afterwards, and before installing the new driver. Even did run a registry cleaner after that to make sure. The game behaved as it should. But the second time, when I loaded the save game the screen got black just after loading the area. And then a crash with a blue screen talking about dumping memory, Then the comp. rebooted. I tried to remove and replace the oblivion ini in my documents - my game - oblivion folder. But no go! The same thing happend. Tried various save games without any luck. Would like to add that the new card works well othervice. Any suggestions? Edit. It coul'nt have something to do with the FXAA injector or the SMAA mod i have got you think? Edited December 20, 2013 by goranpaa
goranpaa
I solved the problem thru a program called WhoCrashed. It told me by analyzing the mini dump of Windows crash report that it whas the dxgkrnl.sysThat whas the problem. So I uninstalled catalyst 13.10. And cleaned it troughout and then installed catalyst 10.11 beta with the net diconnected, so that Windows 7 could'nt download and install any generic driver before the catalyst I wanted whas in there. Worked like a charm! Edited December 20, 2013 by goranpaa
