boredoffmyaz
Hello, I am using Vortex 1.7.8 for Skyrim Anniversary Edition. I am running into a problem. I created a custom .esl file that depends on a couple other mods. Vortex is complaining that there is a circular dependency with one of the master files. There is, however no custom rule for this new esl I created and there I don't know why it thinks the master depends on the new mod. Any help would be appreciated. Also Vortex appears to not be properly refreshing the information about this file. I removed the ESM flag from the esl file and it still shows it as a master in vortex but not in SSEEdit, Nothing I do seems to make it update its metadata. Guest deleted34304850
learn about esl's and where they go in the load order.to fix it - remove the esl flag off your plugin.
boredoffmyaz
I tried removing the ESL flag and that didn't seem to work. I did a quick read-up on ESL and I found that ESM files would mess with dependencies and load order but I didn't see where it said ESL would do the same. I'll look more into this later, but unfortunately just removing the ESL flag didnt seem to fix the issue.
Aasmodeusss
Try changing it to an ESP flagged as ESL in SSEEdit, that might solve it for you.
boredoffmyaz
Changing the file extension seems to have done the trick. Thanks!
