InDarkestNight
Decided to try and complete the museum 100%. I installed every mod that as best I can tell it has displays for. Many of these include mods I had never heard of before. Problem is, I'm getting relentless freezes that are making my game virtually unplayable. I'm sick of having to re-start my entire computer just to get unstuck. I quit playing for weeks, seriously having given up on Skyrim. I thought I had all my stability problems fixed. I did finally eliminate the crashes, but now I'm getting freezes instead. I went for a minimal load order for safety's sake. The list is pretty much nothing but LotD files, graphics, and a few 'quality of life' mods (like ones that let you craft uncraftable faction gear, Learn Alchemy from Recipes, etc...). What in my load order could be causing this? Part of the reason why I gave up on Skyrim was because I was thinking that it MUST be something I need for LotD, meaning that it would be impossible for me to complete the museum 100%. And before you say it, no, I can't just do this in SE. I have a 100% guaranteed crash in Dragonsreach which happens even if I have absolutely nothing installed. This means I can't start the main quest line, locking me out of a lot of mod content. Besides, LE is more stable on my machine than SE for some reason anyway. Here is my mod list (including just the plugins), hopefully someone can help me here: Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.espFalskaar.esmGray Fox Cowl.esmVigilant.esmWyrmstooth.espAKSkyrimUnderground.esmRSkyrimChildren.esmRSChildren.espRSChildren Patch - USLEEP.espPatch - Falskaar - RS kids.espPatch - Wyrm - RS kids.espSkyUI.espFISS.espSMIM-Merged-All.espSRG Enhanced Trees Activator.espTrueStorms.espmintylightningmod.espWondersofWeather.espSPTConsistentOlderPeople.espMalborn Face Fix.espCosmeticVampireOverhaul.espLegacyoftheDragonborn.espThaneWeaponsReborn.espDBM_SkyrimUnderground_Patch.espDBM_VigilantPatch.espLoTD Mannequins Behave.espAOS.espDBM_AOS_Patch.espLoTD USLEEP Patch.espDBM_RSChildren.espClothing & Clutter Fixes.espDBM_CCF_Patch.espDeadlySpellImpacts.espAOS2_DSI Patch.espJS Barenziah - Johnskyrim.espCloaks.espCloaks - Dawnguard.espImmersive Weapons.espHothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.espHothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.espDawnguardArsenal.espPrvtI_HeavyArmory.espDBM_HA+IW+IA+DG_Patch.espNewArmoury.espAnimated Armour - Immersive Weapons Patch - Daedric Halberd Modification.espAnimated Immersive Weaps.espAnimatedHeavyArmoury.espPrvtIRoyalArmory.espUnique Uniques.espAOS2_Unique Uniques Patch.espDBM_RoyalArmory_Patch.espArtifactsOfBoethiah.espDBM_ArtifactsOfBoethiah_Patch.espDawnguard&VolkiharArtifactsQuests.espDBM_DGE_Patch.espTreaclemanTGCONPatch.espGray Fox Cowl - Camel patch.espUndeath.espUndeathFixesLE.espUndeathFixes The Ascension LE.espDBM_Undeath_Patch.espFalskaar Undeath Patch.espMoonAndStar_MAS.espMoonAndStar_RSC_Patch.espMoonAndStar_Undeath_compat.espDBM_MAS_Patch.espSL01AmuletsSkyrim.espSL01AmuletsSkyrimDGDB_Outfit_Cloaks.espDBM_AmuletsOfSkyrim_Patch.espWheelsOfLull.espKVLLullQuestStart60.espForgottenCity.espForgottenCity - Delayed Start.espFC WOL Formlist Patch.espRSChildren - ForgottenCity.espTheMadMasker.espDBM_MadMasker_Patch.espHelgen Reborn.espDBM_HelgenReborn_Patch.espHelgen Reborn-RSC patch.espkonahrik_accoutrements.espkonahrik_accoutrements_db.espDBM_DPA_Patch.espDBM_Armory_Imp_Leath2.espAlternate Start - Live Another Life.espDBM_RelicHunter.espElemental_Dragons.espDBM_ElementalDragons_Patch.espViolent_Alduin_Normal.espDurnehviirResurrected.espFossilsyum.espSkyrim Immersive Creatures.espSkyrim Immersive Creatures - DLC2.espHigh Level Enemies - SIC.espHigh Level Enemies - SIC Falskaar.espDBM_ImmersiveCreatures_Patch.espNotSoFast-MainQuest.espLoTD NotSoFastMQ Patch.espBGtheCapturedFairies.espBadGremlinsJarHunt.espBGsomethingFishy.espBGtrophyHeads.espMore Interesting Loot for Skyrim.espescutcheonredwave.espDBM_MIL+OAP_Patch.esptreasure_hunt.espDBM_TreasureHunt_Patch.espAetheriumSwordsnArmor.espCollegeOfWinterholdImmersive.espSkyrimsUniqueTreasures.espLOTD Airship and Archaeology Patch.espLOTD Airship and Archaeology Patch - Falskaar.espLOTD Airship and Archaeology Patch - TGCON.espLOTD Airship and Archaeology Patch - HR.espLOTD Airship and Archaeology Patch - ICW.espLOTD Airship and Archaeology Patch - KA.espLOTD Airship and Archaeology Patch - MAS.espLOTD Airship and Archaeology Patch - TFC.espLOTD Airship and Archaeology Patch - WOL.espLOTD Airship and Archaeology Patch - Wyrmstooth.espTimingIsEverything.espRelationship Dialogue Overhaul.espRDO - USLEEP Patch.espGuard Dialogue Overhaul.espAOS2_GDO Patch.espHunters Not Bandits.espGDO Redux Hunters not Bandits patch.espdD-No Spinning Death Animation Merged.espBalanced Necromage Fix.espNo Magic Ninja Dodge - No DLC.espAlwaysPickUpBooks.espQuestsAreInSkyrimUSLEEP.espLotD Skills in Book Titles Patch.espYellow_Mountain_Flower.espNo Vampire Cure on Rumors.espNight Eye Toggle.espWaterbreathing Breathless Emerge.espPlayer Size Adjuster.espNoBrokenWhiterunTower.espiHUD.espRun For Your Lives.espModern Brawl Bug Fix.espRealisticWaterTwo.espRealisticWaterTwo - Legendary.espRealisticWaterTwo - Falskaar.espRealisticWaterTwo - Waves - Falskaar.espRealisticWaterTwo - Waves - Wyrmstooth.espRealisticWaterTwo - Wyrmstooth.espUnderwater Visibility Fix LE - RW2.espAOS2_RealisticWaterTwo Patch.espBashed Patch, 0.espLearnAlchemyFromRecipes.esp As for a crashlog, the last one in my overwrite says the following which makes no sense: 04 Mar 06:22:22 Game has crashed while reading binary data stream! How could those be causing the issue? It must be something this crash log doesn't track I'm thinking, and these files simply happened to be the ones that were loading when the freeze happened. Can I continue with this playthrough attempt or is it impossible for me to play with all the required mods?
InDarkestNight
Used elephant's latency tester in my game. Average latency is 63~64 (with a high of 83). I've been keeping the 'cache' files from TES5Edit enabled at all times to minimize the time it takes the program to load. Could these be having an effect on my game? Was also thinking of adding more RAM. I only have 8GB in this thing, because I didn't have the money for more at the time. Thinking about it, I may have some ones inside of a junk computer that's never really been used (I tried to use it, but it deleted its own OS after a few days, apparently its an infamous problem with this specific computer, thankfully I got it for free but still). I don't know if either of these would fix the issue, but I can't seem to find much info on what could be causing this. I haven't had this problem before, despite having far more mods installed in the past, including quite a few script-heavy ones like Frostfall. Scripts don't appear to be the issue, so I don't really know where else to look. Thinking its about time I finally put more RAM into this thing anyway. I barely have enough to meet the minimum system requirements for stuff. Besides, what harm could adding more do anyway?
InDarkestNight
Oh come on. I just started my new playthrough, decided to disable auto-save hoping that would fix the problem. I just froze again, and didn't have a manual save so I lost a mammoth amount of progress. Seriously, if I can't get this fixed, I don't see anyway I can continue to play Skyrim. Seriously, how am I supposed to play a game where I have to re-start my entire computer several times during a play session? Why is no one offering help? Why can I find nothing about this online? I want to keep playing Skyrim. I don't want that to be torn away from me due to worthless f*#@ing bethesda. Help me get my game working again!
